Marshalltown Police Chief Chris Jones recently talked about homelessness here in town and how the department handles that kind of situation when it arises.

Jones also mentioned how much help the MPACT program has been.

Jones finished his discussion by saying that the police department avoids trying to arrest their way out of these situations. He says homelessness isn’t something they can solve by making more problems, and that they will always look at helping people in a more positive way.
