We are officially less than 100 days away from the Iowa State Fair, today marks 98 days until August 7th. Yesterday was the day of major announcements for the live shows on the free stages and some of the early sales for tickets and passes will start this month. Director of Marketing, Mindy Williamson, shares where people can go online to watch for those announcements and updates.

She says all the super fans of the Iowa State Fair sign up for their newsletter. It is sent out once a month until the fair starts, then it has announcements daily. Williamson wants people to mark August 7th – the 17th for the Iowa State Fair

For those that know they are going to the fair this summer, there is a way to save a little money ahead of time.

Williamson says those prices will go up $5 during the Iowa State Fair, youth 5 and under remain free. She mentions that people can purchase giant slide tickets ahead of time as well, and that will save fair goers some time. Learn more at iowastatefair.org
