Highway 14 heading north out of Marshall County into Grundy County officially closed yesterday for a bridge replacement project. The plan is to replace the bridge over Wolf Creek and the estimated finish date on the project is November 2025.

There is a marked detour that will take drivers through Beaman. Heading north on highway 14, drivers will take highway 96 over to highway T29, or Wallace Ave., and turn north. T29 will connect to Highway 14 just outside of Grundy Center.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. More information can be found online at iowadot.gov
