The Marshalltown Bobcat Boys tennis team faced off against the Ames Little Cyclones yesterday. They had a lot to battle for, it is their Highway 30 Rival, the Boys had yet to lose this season, and the winner of this match would be the Iowa Alliance Conference North Champions. The Bobcats, who are ranked 9th in the state, put it all on the line and came up just short in a few contests dropping the match to Ames 9 – 2. Ames struck first by winning 5 of the 6 single contests putting a lot of pressure on the Bobcat double teams. The Bobcats have now finished the regular season and will have post season play on Wednesday next week.
