The Marshalltown Bobcat Boys soccer team had their senior night Friday night as they hosted the Des Moines East Scarlets. Searching for their 9th win on the season, the Cats pitched a shutout in the opening half, as a trio of shots found the back of the net. The Cats would push the lead to four in the second half, and would find responses to a pair of Scarlet goals late en route to the 6-2 win. The cats have hit their stride at the right time as they’ve now won five games in a row dating back to April 22nd. They’ll next be in action Tuesday when they host Ottumwa.

The Bobcat girls also kicked aside the Scarlets Friday night in a 3-0 win on the road. Yuri Ramirez led the way for the Cats, finding the back of the net twice, including the opening goal just two minutes in. The girls have now gone without a loss in 8 straight games, a streak with now 6 wins and just two ties. Coach Stacy Galema and company still have two big games remaining, with a trip down to Ottumwa up next on Tuesday.
