Adopting a pet from the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown is an easy process and it can start by walking in their front door.  Once you inform the staff that you want to start this process, they will begin interviewing you to find out more about who you are to generate the best pairing.

That is Executive Director Austin Gillis, he says they will begin to introduce a few different animals that would fit your lifestyle and see if there’s a connection.  Next there is an application people will need to fill out.

They will also want to know if you own your home or rent, so they can confirm with the owner of the property that a pet is allowed.

Most meet and greets will happen at the Animal Rescue League as they have a lot of property the animals and run around in.  There is a fee to adopt a pet, cats are $50, puppies are $200, and dogs over 6 months are $150.  Learn more at arlmarshalltown.com
