Tonight the Marshalltown Bobcat Boys Soccer team will play a makeup game against the Ankeny Hawks. This game will be played down south at the Ankeny High School. Ankeny is ranked #8 in the state and Head Coach Scott Johannes says this is a good test before the State Tournament.
Johannes has told KFJB that if the Bobcats want to make a deep run at state, they have to perform against top ranked teams in the state. The Bobcats lost 5 – 1 last week on Friday against Cedar Rapids Prairie, the #9 ranked team in the state. After the Bobcats play today, they will have finished the regular season and their playoff game is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27th at Ankeny Centennial.
Can you believe it, baseball season is already here for the High Schoolers. Tonight will be the first varsity game for the Marshalltown Bobcats as they host Cedar Rapids Washington. The Baseball team typically plays doubleheaders, so first pitch for game 1 is scheduled at 5pm with game 2 scheduled to start at 7pm at the Marshalltown High School.
