Yesterday morning the City of Laurel announced that an Alliant contractor hit a water main along 2nd Ave and E. Church. Then in the afternoon the city announced that the water is back on and a boil advisory is in place.
This advisory is for all residents East of Highway 14, or Main Street. The boil advisory is in place for 48 hours; it could be lifted early if the water passes proper tests.
As a reminder, it is good practice to boil your water for at least 1 minute before using in cooking. The City will make any further announcements on their Facebook page.
