Friday night, 345 Marshalltown Community College and Iowa Valley Grinnell graduates capped off their goal to graduate. The 97th Annual Commencement Ceremony was held inside the Student Activity Center on the MCC campus. President of Iowa Valley, Dr. Anne Howsare-Boyans, says graduation is a reminder that the students now have many doors open that they can explore.
Dr. Howsare-Boyans was hired in November of 2023, so this was her first full academic year at Iowa Valley. She focused her 1st semester getting to know faculty and the Iowa Valley Landscape. This year was different
Dr. Howsare-Boyans says that graduation is about the students celebrating their accomplishment but says this is an educators favorite day as well
