The Marshall County Sheriffs Office is also participating in a high visibility traffic campaign. This campaign is known as Click it or Ticket and it is a good reminder to drivers to wear your seatbelt while driving. Last year 44% of the deaths on Iowa roadways were people who were unbuckled.
That is Marshall County Sheriff Joel Phillips who is encouraging everyone to wear their seatbelts. He says Marshall County does a good job, but we are not quite at 100%
With Memorial Day this weekend and graduations happening for High School and Colleges, the roadways will have increased traffic. The Click It or Ticket campaign is running now until June 1st.
