Marshalltown Resident, Chris Carroll, recently had to go back to Iowa State University because his father, Raymond Peter Carroll, earned a posthumous degree.  Carroll said he was curious about his fathers time at Iowa State and began looking into all he did in 1989.

Carroll then follows up with the Registrar and begins asking questions, many questions the students running the office could not answer.  Then in 2021 and 2022 he tries again to get some information.

He found a couple random people in the Ag building, who turned out to be the dean of the School of Agriculture.  They took a photo copy of the transcript and eventually followed up with Carroll.

Through a conversion Iowa State says he has earned 190 – 201 credits and wanted to give Raymond a Posthumous degree. This past weekend Carroll went to Ames to accept the Posthumous degree for his father from 1952.
