10 teams competed yesterday at Elmwood Country Club for 2 spots to move on to the State Meet. The Bobcat girls golf team has looked sharp all season, and senior Natalie Henson has won almost every event she has participated in this season.
Home course advantage was not enough for the girls yesterday as the Bobcats shot a team score of 353 trailing both Waukee Northwest and Indianola. As a team the Bobcats will not move on to the state meet.
Natalie Henson shot a 70, even par, yesterday making her the medalist for the event. She will move on to the state meet for the 4th time in her Bobcat career. The 4A State Golf meet will take place May 29 – 30 at Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City.
