Yesterday morning the Marshall County Board of supervisors had a regularly scheduled meeting. KFJB News Reporter David Braga goes over what was discussed

Wednesday morning featured a few topics of discussion for the Marshall County Board of Supervisors. First of which was a renewal involving the Delta Dental Plan of Iowa, which passed with all three members voting yes. This plan goes into effect July 1, 2025 and will go until June 30, 2026.

The board also discussed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Story and Marshall County Sherriff’s offices outlining terms for housing inmates from one county in the other jail’s facility without a per diem fee. This also passed three to nothing.

All other topics also passed unanimously, those being a vision insurance provider change (from Aversis to Delta), the approval of the General Safety Manual for the county, a zoning variance, a resolution for the 2025 Noxious Weed Control Plan, and the resolution of the local match for the hazard mitigation assistance program of 15% or $4,560. The next regular session for the County Board will be on Wednesday, June 4th in the 1st floor meeting room of the Marshall County Courthouse.
