Starting June 1st is the Summer Reading program and challenge with the Marshalltown Public Library. Here is Youth Services Manager, Joa LaVille, talking about Summer Reading
Youth and Adults, can sign up for Summer Reading online through Beanstack or by stopping in at the Library. People will track their reading throughout the summer through Beanstack. LaVille says 10 – 15minutes of reading counts for reading in 1 day and the goal is to have people make reading a daily habit.
As people read throughout the summer, there are prizes people can earn. The grand prizes are already on display in the Library
The more you read, the more tickets you can earn. Learn more about this program by visiting the library or heading online to marshalltownlibrary.org. There is a summer reading program for youth and adults. My full conversation with LaVille will be released this afternoon at 1230kfjb.com under Zach Chats.
