The Marshalltown Bobcat baseball team finally had their home opener Friday night as they took on the North Tama Redhawks right here at Marshalltown High School. Following a pair of offensive showcases against Des Moines North, it was a story of the Bobcat defense last night, particularly starting pitcher Zander Stupp. Stupp went the full seven innings allowing just a single unearned run on 3 hits and striking out four. To add to his thrilling night, he retired the final 13 batters he faced as the Cats won it 5-1. Bobcat Baseball is back in action on Tuesday night when they travel down to Newton to take on the Cardinals.
