On Friday we were joined by two individuals from Child Adolescent and Parent Support or CAPS. They highlighted the importance of their home visit program, and why doing them with a young child is important.

That was Esmeralda Monroy the Associate Director with CAPS. As for Program Supervisor Jasmine Banderas, she talked a little more about one of their other programs, Crisis Intervention.

Banderas says that a Crisis situation can mean anything from domestic violence, homelessness, loss of a loved one, financial struggles, and so many other hard times. She says families can enroll up to six months of services, which include at least two meetings a month to walk alongside them and assist them in taking the next steps.
