Another week has closed on the construction and renovations going on in Downtown Marshalltown. In an email sent out from the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce, they say that more significant process was made as the sanitary sewer service reconstruction was finished. This completion they say was vital for updating the aging infrastructure and improving long-term reliability in the area. As for the start of week 8, they say crews will continue making water service connections along South Center Street as part of the ongoing infrastructure upgrades. They also added that Alliant Energy is expected to be on-site soon to contribute in utility coordination efforts.
