The summer weather is on its way and more and more people are headed out to the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA, so we spoke with CEO Kim Jass-Ramirez about what to expect out there this summer.

She says it’ll be offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 11:30am and Tuesday, Thursday at 11:30. She says anyone can come in for these classes as there’s no sign up, all you need is a Y membership. She also talked about the Summer Swim Team.

She says their summer team, Blue Wave, doesn’t travel quite as far as it does in the school year, so this is a great opportunity to get involved in swimming. These are just a couple of the many programs this summer at the Y, so head on over to ymca-ywca.org for all your local Y needs.
