Golf

Marshalltown Bobcat Senior Golfer, Natalie Henson, left yesterday for Iowa City to play in the State Girls Golf Tournament.  Henson, a 4 time state qualifier and 2 time state meet medalist, had a rough start to the day as she hit a 6, double-bogey on hole 1.  She shot a 4 over par 40 on the front nine but was able to lock in on the back nine and shot a 34 2 under par.  She currently sits at 74, 2 over par and in 7th place overall.

Henson will continue play today as she is set to tee off at 9:40 this morning at Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City.  Henson started yesterday with the double bogey on hole 18, she starts today on hole 1 and will play hole 18 as her final hole this season.

 

Tennis

Two Bobcat girls tennis players are also in Iowa City today as they will compete in the State Girls Doubles tournament.  Senior Kennedy Feldman and Sophomore Kate Sandvick will be competing today at the Hawkeye Tennis and Rec Center in Iowa City.
