We recently spoke to the Marshalltown Arts and Culture Alliance Executive Director Amber Danielson and she detailed the ‘Songwriters Showcase’ to show off the musical talent here in town. She says it spent a long time in the works.

She says there was a real desire to share and perform original music in town and through the last year they’ve worked hard to make it happen. Now, it’s here.

Danielson says there will be four local artists there to show off all their hard work and dedication.

Danielson hopes that they can use this as a springboard to get more people in the community invested in music. She says it’s free to attend and while it is geared a little more toward teens and adults, everyone is welcome.
