As of Wednesday, June 11th the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.92 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 2 cents from last week’s price and are down 23 cents from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.12, down 2 cents from last week’s price but still 20 cents higher than the average price in Iowa.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 3 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.28. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.49 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 23 cents lower than the national average of $3.51.
Natural gas prices were down $.21 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $3.51 MMbtu.
