The Red White and Blue Celebration will have events starting on July 3rd in the 13th Street District. Luisa Ortega has been the lady behind the fireworks and 4th of July Celebration in Marshalltown for many years. She joined KFJB this week to discuss events happening July 4th at the 6th Street Softball Complex.
Music is a must when it comes to community events, but Ortega says there is more
Ortega thanks the Softball Association for allowing them to use the grounds for the celebration. She mentions the fireworks will be shot off on the Little League fields and those are off limits to anyone.
Ortega has been the lead on fundraising for the fireworks and each year she tries to get more money than last year to have a bigger and better show.
