The Iowa River Hospice tried a new event earlier this year in March called a Meat Raffle. In March, they partnered with the Tama Pump and it was a successful first event. So successful they want to do it again, but this time with the Old Timer. Maddie Callaway, Director of Clinical Operations with Iowa River Hospice, shares how a meat raffle works.
She said they had about 20 trays of meat at their event in March and will have a similar number at the event Saturday.
