Iowa Vets Home Volunteer Services Coordinator Laurel Degelau recently told us about the “Red, White, and Blue” Celebration and what the plans are at the Vets Home, including this Sunday.

She also told us how folks out there can volunteer to be a part of the action, especially next week as the festivities ramp up.

There will be a background check and an orientation for applicants and those who end up volunteering. She adds that the residents are very excited for the celebrations to begin.
