The Marshalltown Police Department arrested a former Marshalltown Tattoo Artist for assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor. 27-year-old Mark Cates was working at Ink Factory on South Center Street on November 8th of last year when the incident occurred at his place of employment.
Cates is facing similar charges in Polk County as the Clive Police Department arrested him after many sexual assault allegations were alleged against him. With multiple victims in Polk County, the Marshalltown Police Department think there could be multiple victims here and are willing to listen to anyone who steps forward. Cates has posted bond and is no longer in custody.
