The wait is over, the Red, White, and Blue Celebration is happening today in Marshalltown. It all kicks off tonight in the 13th Street District with the Classic Car Cruise In starting at 5pm. Dylan Does, Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Director, says they are expecting over 100 cars to be lined up into the Iowa Veterans Home.
Does says the celebration will simmer down tonight after the concerts, but it starts back up the tomorrow morning on July 4th.
The Grand Marshalls for the parade are two World War II Veterans, Vaughn Hauser and Ralph Alshouse. Does shares what activities are happening on the Fourth.
Things begin at the 6th Street Softball Complex at 3pm with more music, food, drinks, and activities. The fireworks will be shot off tomorrow night at the Little League Baseball diamonds at dusk.
