Iowa House Representative for District 51, Brett Barker, was a freshman this year in the Iowa Legislature.  Even though he was a freshman he was active and had 14 bills he sponsored or floor managed that made it out of the Iowa House and 6 bills head to the Governors desk.

One of the bills that the Governor signed was about Pharmacy Benefit Managers, which is something Barker deals with in his day job working at a Pharmacy.

Barker says he will take the next six months to continue to learn about the needs of his district.
