As the summer continues on, the project on Center St. in downtown Marshalltown continues to progress. Last week hit another milestone on the project.

That is Marshalltown Public Works Director, Heather Thomas.  She says the contractor started grading out the two blocks of Center Street.

Thomas says they are continuing to hope for dry weather so they can start pouring concrete soon.  There are updates given by the city throughout this project on Facebook.  The page dedicated to the project is called Marshalltown Main Event.
