The Marshalltown Arts and Culture Alliance launched a new initiative, the 2025 Community Artist Grant, aimed at creatively activating the Arts and Culture Master plan through community-engaged artmaking.  Executive Director Amber Danielson joined KFJB this week to share who is the grant recipient.

Danielson says this years theme, “Building Bridges,” focuses on uniting people, places, and perspectives in Marshalltown through storytelling and creative collaboration.  Part of the grant, Singh Sirah, will be living in Marshalltown and learning about our community.

There will be a meet and greet with Singh Sirah at the end of July.
