Bobcat Baseball and Bobcat Softball had their seasons end this weekend at the hands of a pair of highly ranked opponents. Baseball hung tough against the 9th ranked Centennial Jaguars for a while, but ultimately ran out of gas. Following a 1-1 tie heading to the bottom of the 3rd, the Jags would slowly and steadily build a lead, ultimately taking home the 11-1 win in 6 innings. The Cats finish the year with a record of 6-26. As for Softball, it was a struggle to find much of anything against the 3rd ranked Southeast Polk Rams. Marshalltown found just two hits in 4 innings of action before falling 10-0 as a final. The Cats finish the year just under .500 at 19-21. Congratulations to both our Bobcat teams on the year’s improvement, and here’s to next summer.
