Marketing and Communications Director for the Iowa State Fair, Mindy Williamson, recently told KIX Country/KFJB that outside food and drink is allowed at this year’s Iowa State Fair.  Williamson says that people can bring in unsealed drinks like water, Gatorade, and coffee but alcoholic drinks and glass bottles are not allowed.  She says there are also places people can fill up their water bottle around the fair, so hold on to your bottles.

Snacks are also allowed, people can bring them in with soft-sided coolers.  Williamson is excited about this addition to make the fair more affordable for families.
