During Public Comment at the Marshalltown City Council meeting last night, Public Works Director, Heather Thomas, gave an update on the Center St. Main St. project. She mentioned the recent paving that happened on Saturday, and it looks like a completion date is right around the corner.
Thomas wanted people to know that the cross walk going East and West along Main Street has been temporarily moved.
Thomas says paving will be happening for the next couple of days and with extra trucks around, there may be some parking restrictions in the morning. Weather permitting Phase 1 will end August 28th and then Phase 2 will begin heading East on Main Street and the block just north of the courthouse.
