The Iowa State Fair is now 9 days away as the gates are set to open on Thursday August 7th. The first thing that fairgoers will have to tackle is parking and which gate to enter. Mindy Williamson, Chief Marketing Officer with the Iowa State Fair, talks about the parking lots on University.
Williamson thinks people see that first gate with the “Lot Full” sign and give up. She is encouraging people to continue east down University. Parking will cost $10 in the Iowa State Fair lots. She also mentions a new gate this year.
She also mentions that anyone riding a bike, there is free bike parking inside the fairgrounds. Look at a map and find all of the gates online at iowastatefair.org.
