The calendar has officially flipped to August, which means it is now Iowa State Fair month.  Marshall County will be sending multiple representatives down to the Capital City to be judged at the State Fair.  Amy Pieper, Marshall County Director of the Iowa State Extension Office, is bringing all of the static projects, except 1, down on Monday next week so they are on display day 1 of the Fair.

She says there are 20 different static projects that will be going down to the State Fair and be on display.  She also says there are some youth going down for a communications project.

Pieper says a communications project could be a working exhibit, educational exhibit, share the fun – which is a skit, another person is doing a dance, and more.  She then talks about showing livestock.

There are just over 20 youth from Marshall County heading down to the State Fair to show some livestock.  To see all the times of the livestock shows you can head to iowastatefair.org
