Marshalltown fall sports action kicked off yesterday as girls tennis is now being played in the fall instead of the spring, but the change of season seemingly had no negative effect on the Cats who are coming off a 13-3 season. The Cats continued their momentum from last year as they took down the Union Community Knights 7-2, opening up their 2025 campaign in dominant fashion. Marshalltown girls tennis will continue as they’ll head up to Fort Dodge on Tuesday to take on the Dodgers, a matchup the Cats won 9-2 in their last meeting and a matchup the Cats have convincingly won each of the last 5 times.
The Bobcats will also see boys golf, girls swimming, volleyball, and football all later this month as boys golf will start the season on August 14th with the DM North Triangular while volleyball and girls swimming both start the year on August 26th and football kicks off 2025 with the Highway 30 Rivalry on Friday the 29th.
