Saturday, August 9th, the Iowa State Fair held the annual Governor’s Charity Steer Show. This year was the 43rd year for the show and it raises money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa.
That is Jenna Bailey the Co-Chair for the Gov. Charity Steer Show. She says this year through the sale of the cattle and donations the youth raised $569,000, which is a new record.
Bailey says this show happens every year at 4:30 on the first Saturday of the Iowa State Fair.
