Camping at the Parks in Marshall County has increased 300% in the last two years. Conservation Director, Emily Herring, says the flushing toilets added to Timmons Grove is a big reason for the jump.
Herring says they have added campsites as they have doubled the number of campsites at Greencastle.
There are campsites for tent camping or for mobile campers. Herring says she will do the tent camping and use the restroom out in the woods, but she knows that is not everyone’s cup of tea.
People can check out all of the areas to camp online at marshallcountyia.gov or by stopping out at the Grimes Farm Nature Center.
