School starts for many in our community on Monday, August 25th which means this week parents and families are getting back into their school routine.

That is Marshall County Public Health Director Sydney Grewell.  She says sleep is important for students so they can focus while in school all day.

She says it is important that student wind down and try to go to bed at the same time each night to create that routine.  To help with focus, Grewell suggest students to carry a water bottle with them.

She says if people are waiting to drink water only when they are thirsty, they are behind and dehydrated.  Proper food in the morning and staying hydrated are important for students to stay focused retain what they are learning.
