Families this week are preparing for school to start on Monday, August 25th, and one of the items families need to check on is immunizations. Marshall County Health Director Sydney Grewell says if people are on the regular vaccine schedule, then you are most likely up to date.
Grewell says there are shots like tetanus around middle school and the 2nd round in high school. Meningitis has two rounds of shots while students are in high school as well.
Grewell says that people should double check so the nurse is not calling you at the beginning of the year.
