NASCAR announced that they will be returning to Iowa next season. After a successful NASCAR race weekend at the beginning of August, NASCAR says they will be back on August 8th and 9th in 2026. August 8th will be the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series replacing the Xfinity Series and then the NASCAR Cup Series will run on the 9th.
Having the race in August makes Iowa a competitive stop along the NASCAR schedule as many drivers will be looking to position themselves in the top 16 drivers before playoffs start in at the end of August.
