I hope all the students have sharpened their pencils because this morning school starts for many K-12 students but also students on Iowa Valley’s campus. Marshalltown Community College starts classes today and Provost Matt Schmit says he is excited for the academic year to start.
He says many of their programs are full, but they will have a waiting list for people still interested. He says it is not too late to sign up for classes this semester.
He says signing up now, students may not get the time they want but they can still sign up to get those classes done this semester. Schmit says the best place to start is online at IAValley.edu
Schmit says they are full for on campus housing, which is a good problem to have. He says they are looking to expand housing on the MCC campus over the next few years.
