The Marshalltown Bobcat Boys Cross Country Team earned 13th place at State last year and are returning some great runners for this season. Head Coach Chad Pietig is excited for this season and he said the boys started training before last school year let out.
Coach Pietig says the goal this summer was to put miles on the boys. He then highlights one of the best runners in the state, Junior Preston Johnson.
Coach says that is the mentality the boys have had while training all summer. He then highlights a newcomer who will make some noise this year.
The Boys first meet is the Bobcat Early Bird this Thursday at the MCC Course.
