The Iowa State Extension Office has a fall program about Chronic Wasting Disease, which has shown up in the deer population in Iowa. This is something that hunters need to be aware of before they head out this fall and winter. Chelsea Llewellyn, Program Coordinator, says they will have a specialist along with the Iowa DNR and the Chronic Wasting Disease Ambassadors.
Llewellyn says there will be hands on activities outside to learn about what Chronic Wasting Diseases is or how to identify it.
