Highway 14 heading north out of Marshall County has a closure just pass the county line due to a bridge needing replaced over Wolf Creek.  This project started at the beginning of May and will be finished sometime this fall.  Dustin Skogerboe is an Engineer with the Iowa DOT and he gave a brief update.

He says all the rain we got in July did slow them down for a couple reasons, one being that you cannot pour concrete in the rain.

The detour people can follow will take them down Iowa 96 over to T-29 before hitting highway 14 just outside of Grundy Center.  Further information about this project can be found at iowadot.gov
