According to court records, a Marshalltown Man arrested for human trafficking and pimping in July has reached a plea deal on multiple counts.
23 year old, Johmell Keyshawn Rosemond reached an agreement on September 2nd which will recommend; a period of incarceration no longer than 5 years for each of the 8 counts of pimping to run concurrently and 5 years for each of the 3 counts of pandering to run concurrently but consecutively to the pimping counts. It is recommended that Rosemond have a minimum suspended fine of $1,025 plus a 15% criminal surcharge on each count, a $1,000 human trafficking victim surcharge on each count, a DNA test, a sex offender registry requirement plus payment of civil penalties and yearly registration fees and court cost and attorney fees.
Rosemond is already a registered sex offender in the state of Iowa after being convicted of third degree sexual abuse in Story County in 2020. Rosemond’s plea hearing is set for September 26th.
