Case Count for Legionnaire’s Disease is now at 69 in Marshall County according to the 3pm update on the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. This is a jump of 1 case after back to back days of jumps around 7 cases. Here is Marshall County Public Health Director Sydney Grewell.
She says the case is added to the count after they have connected with the sick person. Grewell says the incubation period for Legionnaire’s Disease is 2 – 14 days.
Grewell says Legionnaire’s Disease is treatable, so she is encouraging people to get tested if they have any symptoms.
Symptoms of Legionnaire’s Disease is a dry cough, high high fever, weakness, fatigue, and diarrhea. You can hear my full conversation with Grewell here.
