As of the 3pm update yesterday on the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services website, there have been 74 cases of Legionella detected in Marshall County.  That is an increase of 1 case from yesterday and a total of 6 cases since Wednesday last week.

Oktemberfest in downtown Marshalltown started yesterday at 4:30 and is going on as planned on Church Street.  Health Officials have recommended to change the location of the festival from downtown Marshalltown as that is where the Legionella outbreak is happening. Health Officials have also said that legionella does not transmit from person to person.

Officials are not 100% sure the source has been remediated.
