Superintendent of West Marshall Schools, Jacy Large, started in 2017 and at that time he wanted to listen to what the district wanted and needed.  He said they did community surveys in 2019 along with reviewing the buildings.

He says the deferred maintenance on the existing buildings has caused the district to look at making big changes to the elementary and intermediate building.

The District is now asking the community for a $2.70 bond to update the Elementary School and add a CTE area that would connect the Middle School and High School.

Large says this is the 2nd year in a row that they are trying for a bond.  He says not much is different with this plan, mostly communication.  He says the CTE building will be a huge benefit.

Large says even with the additional $2.70 bond that will keep the West Marshall levy under Nevada, Colo-Nesco, and other small communities near us.  The total levy would be $13.15/ $1000 if valuation.  People can learn more about the bond at westmarshallbestmarshall.org
