There is a task force working together to look at how EMS, Emergency Medical Services, are provided across Marshall County.  Right now, EMS is provided by UnityPoint and there is no agreement between the city or county for them to continue service.

That is Carol Hibbs, Marshall County Supervisor.  The hospital operates at a $1 million loss to provide the Emergency Service.  The task force is working with a consultant to review the process now.

Hibbs says they are finishing up conducting interviews and says a report should be coming later this fall.
