The Marshalltown Area United Way kicked off their campaign to $900,000 last month at the Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center. Marketing and Events Coordinator, Rachel Norton, gives an update this week.
The Campaign Cabinet is working to hand out packets to local businesses where people can donate and give through direct deposit. Norton says a fun way to give is to attend different events, like the Power of the Purse.
At this years Power of the Purse there will be more than just purses auctioned off as they have a few experiences up for auction. Norton says the events are a fun way to give but not the only way.
